Rubbish c est + qu’une marque de sacs. Chaque Rubbish bag est différent et transporte avec lui une part de belles sessions de ride sur les plus belles mers de la planète, ou dans les airs.
Les sacs Rubbish sont fabriqués à partir d’ailes de kite ou de parapente qui ne peuvent plus être utilisé pour rider. Nous leur donnons une seconde vie en les recyclant.
Un design suisse… Après avoir recyclé des dizaines de kites depuis 2006 sous sa précédente marque Slurpy, Arlette s’est associée en 2014 pour créer DiiRt, une nouvelle identité pour un produit définitivement design, pur, et différent.
Rubbish c’est également un réseau de recyclage construit au long des années pour les kites et parapentes, qui s’étend désormais à toute l’Europe.
Notre atelier est au Portugal, où toutes les ailes sont envoyées pour être recyclées. Une douzaine de modèles différents ont été créés en 2014.
2015 a commencé fort par une sélection comme finaliste au plus grand concours au monde de start up, ISPO brandnew, où Rubbish a été présenté lors du salon début février à Munich dans le top 50 des becomers.
Rubbish est tout particulièrement fier d’être partenaire de l’Alpine Lake Tour, pour des événements hors norme comme la Bat Race et la GlaGla Race en janvier, une association très active et correspondant aux mêmes valeurs!

Rubbish is more than just a brand of bags. Our products are made of recycled sail material and we design our products with 3 very important features in mind : aesthetic, function and ethical respect. These are the 3 points that drive our design process.
Aesthetics is a subjective point, everyone has a different perspective on this of course, however one can feel in any creation the presence a real aesthetic vibration, a subject which I personally find very interesting.
Function is a very specific part of design, art and design are expressive but a designed product must also perform a function in its life making this aspect of the work very exciting with the opportunity to make everyday life better.
Ethical respect is about creating a brighter future. It must extend from the company to the employees, to the public, and to mother earth, each connected to each other.
Our product price is a strategic selling point. Our aim is to offer great products that allow people to fall in love with them without the disappointment upon seeing the price. Leaving them with simply a joyous feeling of being able to purchase and own a genuine, unique, designed product at an affordable price. Who would not be happy with that ?
The last point but certainly not the least important is that of ethical respect for mother earth and the environment.
Recycling is a priority for us. We fabricate our products from used sails from kitesurf kites and paragliders that can no longer be used for their original purpose but still offer great features such as strength, texture, colour, graphical design and most of all a personal history.
In each one is the the essence of past travels, crossing lakes, seas and oceans through all types of weather conditions from storms to calm, sun to rain E ach past rider, pilot or sailor giving something back through the act of passing on their adventures to enable the creation of DiiRt bags and products.
