Après ce long hiver de restrictions, nous aspirons tous à respirer.

Nous allons le faire dans les prochains jours après cette longue interruption avec l’envie de renaître, de tout reprendre depuis le début, quand le paddle n’était encore que le stand up paddle, où tous nous découvrions ce nouveau sport et ces planches à pagaie un peu bizarres.

L’Alpine Lakes Tour fera étape à Lyon capitale des Gaules le samedi 2 octobre 2021 !
Le Salon Paddle Sports Show – le salon international des sports de pagaies – aura lieu du 29 Septembre au 1er Octobre 2021 à Lyon (France). Réservé aux professionnels (acheteurs de magasins spécialisés, de centres de location, centres de vacances, et centrales d’achats) venant de France, du Royaume-Uni, d’Europe et du monde entier, il s’ouvre également au grand public.
Une journée “pratiquants” (le big test) permettant au public de tester tout le matériel exposé au salon est prévue le samedi 2 octobre. A cette occasion, le salon accueillera une étape spéciale de l’Alpine Lakes Tour, la “Lyon Paddle Show Race” pour la 1ere fois sur le Rhône !
Nous aurons un programme complet avec courte et longue distance le matin, kids race et Dragon Race en début d’après-midi et Technical Race l’après-midi !
The latest government decisions regarding the COVID-19 epidemic do not allow us to organize the GlaGla Race under the usual conditions. [informations en Français ici]
We have decided to keep this legendary meeting in the heart of the Alpine winter. The only solution is a virtual GlaGla Race.
The principle is simple: everyone can organize their own GlaGla Race wherever they want, while respecting health constraints and local restrictions. Everyone is responsible for their own safety and should only enter the water if they have the necessary skills and equipment.
As far as possible (and depending on weather conditions and time zones), everyone must start on Saturday 23 January 2021 at 10:30 am, the time scheduled for the start of the short and long distance. 3 distances are available: the usual 6 and 15 km to which we have added a 3 km to really allow all levels to participate, even on small bodies of water.
Please choose your race distance when registering and send us via the form your planned route and a photo of you (on your board if possible!).
This is a personal challenge and not an organized race.
We ask for a financial contribution of an amount of your choice (1 € minimum which goes to weezevent, the rest will go to Annecy Stand Up Paddle Club). This free amount will go to projects promoting the practice of stand up paddleboarding among children.

Due to technical difficulties and health constraints, we regret to announce the postponement of the Alpine Paradise Race to September 2021.
En raison de difficultés techniques et des contraintes sanitaires, nous sommes au regret d’annoncer le report de l’Alpine Paradise Race à septembre 2021.
We are sorry to postpone this meeting in paradise … The party will only be all the better in 2021 and we still have 2 beautiful stages of the Alpine Lakes Tour on the program for this very special year …
Nous sommes désolés de reporter ce rendez vous au paradis… La fête n’en sera que plus belle en 2021 et nous avons encore 2 belles étapes de l’Alpine Lakes Tour au programme de cette année si particulière…
Prochaines étapes : Championnats de France les 10 et 11 octobre sur le lac d’Annecy (ouverture des inscriptions imminentes) et Very Flat Race sur le lac d’Aiguebelette le 1er novembre.
Nous avons obtenu (non sans mal) l’autorisation de la préfecture pour ce report en plein été. Nous avons des contraintes d’organisation forte en raison de l’affluence touristique et du contexte sanitaire.
Nous avons avancé le départ des 2 courses (8h pour la longue et environ 8h40 pour la courte), nous devrons impérativement partir à l’heure car la navigation sur le canal sera fermée de 8h à 10h pour les plaisanciers et bateau de location.
Pour cette étape : gilet de sauvetage ou aide à la flottabilité obligatoire ainsi que le masque pour le retrait des dossards, la remise des prix ainsi que tous les moments où l’affluence ne permettra pas de respecter les distances nécessaires. Du gel hydroalcoolique sera à disposition, si vous en avez pensez à en prendre également.
Une kids race gratuite avec fourniture du matériel sera organisée à partir de 11h30 – inscriptions sur place pour les enfants de 7 à 14 ans.

pour les personnes participant à la courte distance, vous devez laisser votre véhicule à Chanaz et récupérer votre dossard au « village » de la course et prendre la navette qui vous emmènera au départ.

Due to the Covid-19 epidemic, the 2nd stage of the Alpine Lakes Tour 2020 on the Savières canal and the Lac du Bourget scheduled for April 18 and 19 is postponed to this Sunday August 2, 2020.
We obtained (not without difficulty) the authorization of the prefecture for this postponement in the middle of summer. We have strong organizational constraints due to the tourist crowds and the health context.
We have brought forward the start of the 2 races (8am for the long and around 8.40am for the short), we will have to leave on time because navigation on the canal will be closed from 8am to 10am for pleasure boaters and rental boats.
For this race : life jacket or buoyancy aid compulsory as well as the mask for the withdrawal of the bibs, the queue at the food truck, the awards ceremony as well as all the times when the crowd will not allow to respect the necessary distances . Hydroalcoholic gel will be available, if you have some, consider taking it as well.
A free kids race with supply of equipment will be organized from 11:30 am 12:30 p.m. – registration on site for children aged 7 to 14.

parking in the village is chargeable
for people participating in the short distance, you must leave your vehicle in Chanaz, pick up your bib at the race “village” and take the shuttle that will take you to the start.
