Alpine Paradise Race: The Pinnacle of the Tour!

This exceptional stage at 2000m altitude in the Aosta Valley (the Italian side of Mont Blanc) is taking place for the 5th time. It represents the pinnacle of the stand-up paddleboarding race concept in an alpine environment.

It has everything: turquoise waters, 4000m peaks covered in glaciers, the mountain refuge and its unique atmosphere, with, in the case of the Rifugio Prarayer, a unique welcome, abundant and excellent food, showers, and even a sauna!!

For accommodation: a refuge with a sauna just above the lake. There are double rooms, a small and a large dormitory, and showers. The refuge atmosphere is truly one of the magical moments! For those who prefer to sleep in the valley, it’s also possible, or even in the dam parking lot.

The Alpine Paradise Race takes place in high mountains, and the final program may be modified until the day before depending on weather conditions.

Thursday, September 18th, 2025: Hike to Lake Mort

Friday, September 19th afternoon: course reconnaissance

Saturday, September 20th, 2025: – Technical Race: 2 PM and Dragon Race 3:30 PM

Sunday, September 21st, 2025: Short (5 km) and long distance (10 km) start at 10:30 AM

Meals available upon reservation at the Rifugio Prarayer for lunch and dinner.

Accommodation at the Rifugio Prarayer, just above the starting beach, is recommended.

A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE BLENDING WATER FUN AND HIGH MOUNTAIN ATMOSPHERE

This mix of a high mountain refuge atmosphere with a view of the 4000m peaks and glaciers, and gliding on pure, smooth, turquoise water is truly exceptional. Two years were needed to obtain all the authorizations for the competitors of the first edition of the Alpine Paradise Race in 2019 to navigate on Lake Place Moulin.

It is a luxury and a privilege to be able to paddle on this magical lake. Even if the goal is to make this event sustainable, we must enjoy it now; it won’t last forever!

Parking juste à côté : GENEVE PLAGE – Possibilité de décharger votre board au Tropical et d’aller ensuite vous garer. Une zone “stationnement minute” sera réservée juste devant l’entrée entre 8h00 et 9h30.

Possibilité se garer sur les quais (zone bleue à disque –> durée stationnement limitée)

Logement : camping de pointe à la bise : il reste des places pour des tentes. Le camping est au bord du lac, spot magique ! Sanitaires et douches très propres. Tarifs très raisonnables !

Super LAP Race SUP Race Geneve Tropical Corner Alpine Lakes Tour

Pour renouer avec les 1eres éditions de la Tropical Race, nous allons avoir une Technical Race de format SUPer LAP ! Les concurrents pourront sur un des tours de leur choix sur le parcours prend un raccourci !! Ce raccourci ne peut être pris qu’une seule fois. Chacun est libre de le faire au tour qu’il le souhaite ! Le parcours fera 500m. 5 tours sur chaque manche, soit 2500 mètres au total. Une manche le matin, une l’après midi. On cumule les temps des 2 manches.

L’épidémie de COVID-19 est toujours là mais la baisse du nombre de cas dans nos régions alpines nous permet, avec toutes les précautions sanitaires nécessaires, de reprendre les courses de stand up paddle de l’Alpine Lakes Tour !

The COVID-19 epidemic is still there, but the drop in the number of cases in our Alpine regions allows us, with all the necessary health precautions, to resume the stand up paddle races of the Alpine Lakes Tour!

Tropical Race à Geneve / Tropical Race in Geneva

Nous redémarrons l’Alpine Lakes Tour 2020 six mois après la GlaGla Race par un retour à une course historique (la 1ere édition a au lieu en 2013) à Genève en co-organisation avec le Tropical Corner. Elle aura lieu dimanche 12 juillet au matin.

We are restarting the Alpine Lakes Tour 2020 six months after the GlaGla Race with a return to an historic race (the 1st edition took place in 2013) in Geneva in co-organization with the Tropical Corner. It will take place on Sunday July 12 in the morning.

Afin de limiter l’affluence à terre au Tropical Corner, nous ne proposerons qu’une longue (10km) et courte distance (5 km) le matin même départ et pas de technical race comme d’habitude, l’après-midi. Nous aurons en revanche une Dragon Race en tout début d’après-midi.

In order to limit the crowds on land at the Tropical Corner, we will only have a long and a short distance in the morning (10 km) and no technical race as usual, in the afternoon. We will however have a Dragon Race at the very beginning of the afternoon.

  • Dragon Race : Gratuite (réservée en priorité aux participants à la longue ou la courte distance)

Les autorités Genevoises se réservent le droit d’interdire à la dernière minute la manifestation en cas de reprise de l’épidémie. Les inscriptions pourront être reportées sans frais sur une étape de l’Alpine Lakes Tour ou remboursées (moins 5€ de frais administratifs)

The Geneva authorities reserve the right to prohibit the demonstration at the last minute in the event of a resumption of the epidemic. Registrations can be postponed free of charge on a stage of the Alpine Lakes Tour or refunded (minus € 5 of administrative costs)
