New ! Junior Race at the GlaGla Race ! Course junior à la GlaGla Race

GlaGla Race 2023 : Junior Race for kids between 14 and 17

We are pleased to announce a new 10 KM race, reserved for Juniors (14-17 years old) at the GlaGla Race! This Junior race is a race for young runners for whom the short distance (6.5 km) leaves them a little hungry and who don’t feel like a 15 km in the middle of winter!

Nous avons le plaisir de vous annoncer une nouvelle course de 10 KM, réservée aux Juniors (14-17 ans) à la GlaGla Race ! Cette course Junior est une course qui s’adresse aux jeunes coureurs pour qui la courte distance (6,5 km) laisse un peu sur leur faim et qui ne sentent pas pour une 15 km en plein hiver !

This race is reserved for them, it is forbidden to adults! It will start at the same time as the long, short and very short distance (10:30 a.m.). The participants will be grouped together on the left of the starting line (beach side of Talloires).

Cette course leur est réservée, elle est interdite aux adultes ! Elle partira en même temps que la longue, la courte et la très courte distance (10h30). Les participants seront regroupés sur la gauche de la ligne de départ (côté plage de Talloires).

Junior Race at the GlaGla Race - Depart - Start
The juniors start : on the left side of the 500m start line

Les concurrents de la course Junior seront regroupés sur la gauche de la ligne de départ direction (comme tous les concurrents) la 1ere bouée en face de l’embarcadère d’Angon. (KM 1.1)

After turning the Angon buoy, let’s go to the castle of Duingt (KM 2.3)

After turning the first buoy in Angon, junior competitors head towards the Duingt Castle, they turn around the peninsula until they see the second buoy at the bottom of Duingt Bay.

Junior competitors then turn around the buoy by 70° heading toward the Roc de Chère cliff on the other side of the lake. (this is where they cross the lake).

After turning the buoy in the bay of Talloires, junior competitors follow the shore until they can head towards the Angon’s buoy (the first buoy they already turned in the first lap)

For the second lap, competitor turn around the buoy in front of the castle of Duingt and head toward the bay of Talloires, a shortcut to reach the buoy in the bay of Talloires, in front of the Abbaye de Talloires.

Very Flat Race 2022 : la video !

La Very Flat Race a eu lieu le 2 octobre dernier sur le lac d’Aiguebelette. C’est une étape très appécie de l’Alpine Lakes Tour sur un lac très calme, d’où le nom de la course : la Very Flat Race. Une fois de plus, elle a bien porté son nom avec de très belles conditions ensoleillée, sans vent, même l’après-midi pour la beach race, la kids race et la Dragon Race.

The Very Flat Race took place on October 2 on Lake Aiguebelette. It is a very popular stage of the Alpine Lakes Tour on a very calm lake, hence the name of the race: the Very Flat Race. Once again, it lived up to its name with very nice sunny conditions, without wind, even in the afternoon for the beach race, the kids race and the Dragon Race.

Registration for the GlaGla Race 2023 opened yesterday evening and 100 participants registered alreday ! That’s the strongest start ever with competitors from France, Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, the Netherlands, Israël, the USA, Germany, Italy !

Very Flat Race : results – resultats

Very Flat Race Aiguebelette 2022

Très belle édition de la Very Flat Race sur le lac d’Aiguebelette hier, dimanche 2 octobre. Limité à 100 participants en raison de son classement en réserve naturelle, l’événement a fait le plein ! Un résumé complet de la journée très vite !

Very nice edition of the Very Flat Race on Lake Aiguebelette yesterday, Sunday October 2. Limited to 100 participants due to its classification as a nature reserve, the event was full! A complete summary of the day very quickly!

Very Flat Race : informations / updated info : good weather conditions in sight !

Conditions

La température de l’eau est de 18°c, la température de l’air devrait être de 13 degrés au petit matin pour monter à 20°c l’après-midi. Des nuages devraient être encore présents le matin pour faire place ensuite au soleil 🙂 Pas de vent a priori le matin et vent 10 km/h d’ouest l’après midi.

Very Flat Race : plus que 2 jours ! 2 days to go !

Very Flat Race Aiguebelette 2022

Plus que 2 jours avant la Very Flat Race dernière étape de l’Alpine Lakes Tour 2022 qui avait commencé le 22 janvier dernier avec la GlaGla Race ! Après une magnifique BAT Race, puis l’étape du lac du Bourget et du Canal de Savières et enfin la Tropical Race, c’est sur une grande classique que nous terminons la saison ! Il sera dès la semaine temps de préparer la GlaGla Race 2023 ! Ouverture des inscriptions la semaine du 10 octobre.

Only 2 days left before the Very Flat Race, the last stage of the Alpine Lakes Tour 2022 which started on January 22 with the GlaGla Race! After a magnificent BAT Race, then the Lac du Bourget and Canal de Savières stage and finally the Tropical Race, we are ending the season with a great classic! It will be time to prepare for the GlaGla Race 2023 this week! Registration opens the week of October 10.

Résultats et photos Alpine Lakes Tour Canal de Savières 2022

Mercis à tous pour votre participation ! Belle édition fraiche mais finalement avec des conditions météo plutôt clémentes par rapport à ces derniers jours !

Pour cette 3e étape de l’Alpine Lakes Tour 2022, les concurrents ont pu retrouvé le canal de Savières 2 ans après sa dernière édition. Pour la première fois, la course avait lieu au printemps. Après avoir dépassé les 20 degrés une semaine auparavant, la neige est venue nous voir ! Elle n’a pas tenu au sol autour du canal mais était bien présente juste au dessus! Les températures étaient tout juste positives et le vent du nord était bien frais !

Quelques informations pour l’Alpine Lakes Tour Canal de Savières et lac du Bourget ! Some last minute information about the Alpine Lakes Tour Canal de Savières & Lake Bourget 2022 !

Alpine Lakes Tour Savières 2022

Merci de prévoir un gilet de sauvetage ou aide à la flottabilité 50 N CE ou une combinaison néoprène (demandé par la Préfecture de la Savoie)

Une kids race gratuite avec fourniture des paddles et gilets sera organisée à partir de 13h30 – inscriptions sur place pour les enfants de 6 à 14 ans. Nous avons aussi quelques pagaies enfant.

Accès au village de Chanaz et stationnement D’Annecy, sortir de l’autoroute à Alby sur Chéran et prendre la direction d’Albens puis du col de la Chambotte pour redescendre sur le lac du Bourget.

Avant d’entrer dans Chanaz, prendre la direction « Stade » « Camping les îles » « Port de plaisance »   L’accès au site se fait au niveau du stade juste avant le camping par un chemin longeant la marina. Le stationnement dans Chanaz est payant. Des places gratuites se trouvent en continuant la route après le camping et le barrage.   CONDITIONS MÉTÉO Après un mois de mars doux, avril commence avec un petit coup de froid ! Une petite ambiance GlaGla Race est prévue !

Prévisions Météo France Savoie pour dimanche 3 avril  

Lente amélioration   Le ciel reste chargé avec toutefois quelques éclaircies ici où là. Temps de nouveau sec, sans averse et avec des températures qui commencent à remonter tout en restant fraîches pour la saison.


Il faudra se méfier du vent sur la partie de la course sur le lac (le Canal est plutôt abrité du vent)

Pour les personnes participant à la courte distance, vous devez laisser votre véhicule à Chanaz, récupérer votre dossard au « village » de la course et prendre la navette qui vous emmènera au départ. 

DÉJEUNER : FOOD TRUCK THE GLOBE TRUCKER

Le Globe Trucker (déjà présent à la GlaGla Race) sera là pour nous régaler à petits prix !

Il nous propose notamment : Burger + frites : 12€ / Fajitas : 7€ / Hot Dog : 6,50€ / boissons : 2,5€ / bière : 3€ / Frites : 3€

WEATHER CONDITIONS

After a mild month of March, April begins with a bit of a cold snap! A little GlaGla Race atmosphere is planned!

“The sky remains heavy with however some clearings here and there. Weather dry again, without showers and with temperatures starting to rise while remaining cool for the season.”

It will be necessary to be wary of the wind on the part of the race on the lake (the Canal is rather sheltered from the wind) LUNCH
The Globe Trucker (already present at the GlaGla Race) will be there to delight us at low prices!

From Annecy, exit the motorway at Alby sur Chéran and take the direction of Albens then the Col de la Chambotte to descend to Lac du Bourget.

Before entering Chanaz, take the direction “Stadium” “Camping les Îles” “Port de Plaisance”

Access to the site is at the level of the stadium just before the campsite by a path along the marina.

Parking in Chanaz is chargeable. Free places are found by continuing the road after the campsite and the dam.

For people participating in the short distance, you must leave your vehicle in Chanaz, pick up your bib at the race “village” and take the shuttle that will take you to the start.
