Tropical Rave Geneva : evenement pluvieux, evenement heureux ! Rainy event, happy event !

Malgré des conditions météo automnales, l’ambiance était joyeuse hier au Tropical Corner ou 70 concurrent(e)s se font affrontés sur 7 courses tout au long de la journée !

Un grand bravo à Sebastien Jalmain vainqueur de la longue distance (11 km) et à Florence Julen vainqueur chez les femmes sur la longue distance (11 km)

Bravo à tous les kids qui se sont affrontés sur 4 courses : la junior race du matin (3 km), la kids Race, les sprints kids et la Dragon Race !

Un immense merci à nos amis du Tropical Corner pour leur accueil et à Red Paddle Co pour leur soutien.

Merci à Eric Terrien d’etre venu participer à la Tropical Race, 8 ans après sa dernière course en SUP Race ! Bravo pour sa victoire avec les “chasses d’eau” sur la Dragon Race 😉

Despite autumnal weather conditions, the atmosphere was joyful yesterday at the Tropical Corner where 70 competitors competed in 7 races throughout the day!

Congratulations to Sebastien Jalmain (France), winner of the long distance (11 km) and to Florence Julen (Switzerland), winner of the women’s long distance (11 km)

Congratulations to all the kids who competed in 4 races: the morning junior race (3 km), the kids Race, the kids sprints and the Dragon Race!

The 3rd stage of the Alpine Lakes Tour 2024, the Tropical Race Geneva will take place on Lake Geneva, departing from the Tropical Corner in Geneva! New ! Junior Race at the GlaGla Race ! Course junior à la GlaGla Race

GlaGla Race 2023 : Junior Race for kids between 14 and 17

We are pleased to announce a new 10 KM race, reserved for Juniors (14-17 years old) at the GlaGla Race! This Junior race is a race for young runners for whom the short distance (6.5 km) leaves them a little hungry and who don’t feel like a 15 km in the middle of winter!

Nous avons le plaisir de vous annoncer une nouvelle course de 10 KM, réservée aux Juniors (14-17 ans) à la GlaGla Race ! Cette course Junior est une course qui s’adresse aux jeunes coureurs pour qui la courte distance (6,5 km) laisse un peu sur leur faim et qui ne sentent pas pour une 15 km en plein hiver !

This race is reserved for them, it is forbidden to adults! It will start at the same time as the long, short and very short distance (10:30 a.m.). The participants will be grouped together on the left of the starting line (beach side of Talloires).

Cette course leur est réservée, elle est interdite aux adultes ! Elle partira en même temps que la longue, la courte et la très courte distance (10h30). Les participants seront regroupés sur la gauche de la ligne de départ (côté plage de Talloires).

Junior Race at the GlaGla Race - Depart - Start
The juniors start : on the left side of the 500m start line

Les concurrents de la course Junior seront regroupés sur la gauche de la ligne de départ direction (comme tous les concurrents) la 1ere bouée en face de l’embarcadère d’Angon. (KM 1.1)

After turning the Angon buoy, let’s go to the castle of Duingt (KM 2.3)

After turning the first buoy in Angon, junior competitors head towards the Duingt Castle, they turn around the peninsula until they see the second buoy at the bottom of Duingt Bay.

Junior competitors then turn around the buoy by 70° heading toward the Roc de Chère cliff on the other side of the lake. (this is where they cross the lake).

After turning the buoy in the bay of Talloires, junior competitors follow the shore until they can head towards the Angon’s buoy (the first buoy they already turned in the first lap)

For the second lap, competitor turn around the buoy in front of the castle of Duingt and head toward the bay of Talloires, a shortcut to reach the buoy in the bay of Talloires, in front of the Abbaye de Talloires.

For the 3rd year in a row, the aficionados of the Alpine Lakes Tour had an appointment at the Tropical Corner in Geneva (Switzerland). Once again the event has kept all its promises both on the water and on land! A big thank you to all the competitors from Switzerland, France and Italy!

Lyon Paddle Show Race : un succès pour cette première édition !

La 1ère édition de la Lyon Paddle Show Race a eu lieu ce week-end à Lyon en clôture du Lyon Paddle Sports Show, nouveau salon professionnel international.

Cette première édition a rassemblé plus de 100 amateurs de stand up paddle sur plusieurs formats de course et une randonnée solidaire au profit de l’association “Au delà de l’Océan” d’Ingrid Ulrich.

Merci à Philippe Doux, organisateur du salon qui nous proposé d’organiser cette étape de l’Alpine Lakes Tour, merci à Ingrid Ulrich pour l’organisation de la randonnée solidaire et à la SNSM pour avoir assurer la sécurité sur la course.

Merci à notre partenaire sportif principal depuis 2015 : Red Paddle et en particulier à Christian présent hier. (et souvent !)
