Alexandre, you participated in the last 4 editions of the GlaGla Race. What makes you come back?

There are several reasons.
The first is the desire to find all the band of friends that I met at each edition. I come from Normandy, so I often stay 2, 3 days on site because the road is long we take the opportunity to eat well, drink shots and eliminate during the race ;-))))

The second is the magical setting of this race. You can not do it by lowering your head (it’s good because I’m not a beast podium !!!).

And finally the conviviality of this event which even by magnifying remains always cool. It’s the result of your work and the imprint of the spirit of a team that does not tell it …

What would you like more about the GlaGla Race?

A flea market sup, everyone could find good deals and no event does it to my knowledge (I know it’s complicated to manage with the brands partners but not everyone can afford to buy new …) And yurts for rent on the shores of the lake for the stay 😉
Otherwise for the rest everything is there …

Which advice (s) would you give to someone who would participate for the first time?

Come quietly, this race is really atypical and open to all. Nor is it an Antarctic dive 😉 Do not cover too much for the race (I know that the choice of equipment is always a haunting question for the new ones), it’s a trap to avoid if you burn in the race you’re in trouble to get to the end. And above all, enjoy the magic of this unique place 😉

Supskin : Paddlesuits – by paddlers for paddlers. Pioneering high-performance stand-up paddling water wear since 2011.

How it all started

WolfgangWolfi found himself participating in the Austrian SUP Championships 2011. Disappointed by his loss, he started training like the competitive beast he is. But winter arrived fast and no suitable clothing existed – Wolfi had to take matters in his own hands.

After experimenting with various ideas, he made the world’s first paddle suit prototype in his basement in Bad Mitterndorf, Styria. It kept him warm and on the water the whole winter. At the first race of next season, all other competitors carried their winter training deficit… and Wolfi won the race.
