La 3e étape de l’Alpine Lakes Tour 2024, la Tropical Race Genève, aura lieu sur le lac Léman, au départ du Tropical Corner à Genève ! Cela fait maintenant 11 ans qu’a eu lieu la toute première édition de cette course. Ne ratez pas la plus urbaine des étapes de l’Alpine Lakes Tour avec son ambiance tropicale !
The 3rd stage of the Alpine Lakes Tour 2024, the Tropical Race Geneva will take place on Lake Geneva, departing from the Tropical Corner in Geneva! It has now been 11 years since the very first edition of this race took place. Don’t miss the most urban stage of the Alpine Lakes Tour with its tropical atmosphere!

Un grand bravo à Emmanuelle Marcon et Olivier Comazzi vainqueurs de la longue distance dans les catégories femmes et hommes. Un immense bravo aux enfants notamment du club de Thonon et de Savoie ! Vous avez été incroyables de bonne humeur, de sportivité, de tenacité et de performance !
Hop hop hop les inscriptions sont ouvertes ! Nouveauté : course de 3 KM pour les “juniors” (moins de 15 ans) Départ en même temps que la courte et la longue distance : 10h30.
Parking juste à côté : GENEVE PLAGE – Possibilité de décharger votre board au Tropical et d’aller ensuite vous garer. Une zone “stationnement minute” sera réservée juste devant l’entrée entre 8h00 et 9h30.
Possibilité se garer sur les quais (zone bleue à disque –> durée stationnement limitée)
Logement : camping de pointe à la bise : il reste des places pour des tentes. Le camping est au bord du lac, spot magique ! Sanitaires et douches très propres. Tarifs très raisonnables !

Pour renouer avec les 1eres éditions de la Tropical Race, nous allons avoir une Technical Race de format SUPer LAP ! Les concurrents pourront sur un des tours de leur choix sur le parcours prend un raccourci !! Ce raccourci ne peut être pris qu’une seule fois. Chacun est libre de le faire au tour qu’il le souhaite ! Le parcours fera 500m. 5 tours sur chaque manche, soit 2500 mètres au total. Une manche le matin, une l’après midi. On cumule les temps des 2 manches.

Special program for this Tropical Race at the Tropical Corner with a long (10km) and short distance (5 km) departure the same morning. In the afternoon we will have a Dragon Race and a Kids Race at the very beginning of the afternoon then a technical race.
Programme spécial pour cette Tropical Race au Tropical Corner avec une longue (10km) et courte distance (5 km) le matin même départ. Nous aurons l’après-midi une Dragon Race et une Kids Race en tout début d’après-midi puis une technical race en mode SUPer LAP Race ! C’est un format très ludique, que nous avions testé en 2014.

For the 3rd year in a row, the aficionados of the Alpine Lakes Tour had an appointment at the Tropical Corner in Geneva (Switzerland). Once again the event has kept all its promises both on the water and on land! A big thank you to all the competitors from Switzerland, France and Italy!

6 weeks to go before the first stage of the Alpine Lakes Tour 2022 : the GlaGla Race. But what is next ? We prepared a 2022 tour with 8 stages from March to October. Here is the program !
Une magnifique journée ! Un temps chaud et sans vent pour cette 2e étape de l’Alpine Lakes Tour 2021 ! Merci aux participants, bravo à tous pour votre sportivité et votre bonne humeur ! Bravo et merci aux frères Teulade qui sont venus avant d’aller bosser ! Bravo à 2 nos participants en pirogue et un merci spécial à Jean Luc Malfroid qui a participé aux premières étapes de l’Alpine Lakes Tour en 2013 (et a gagné le Tour 2013).
Des conditions épiques pour cette reprise de l’Alpine Lakes Tour 2020 ! Cette course, qui n’était pas prévue au programme a été ajoutée pour permettre à tous ceux qui se languissaient après 3 mois d’interruption de reprendre la compétition. La bise soufflait sur Genève et a transformé la longue distance en un double upwind / Downwind ! Ludovic Teulade l’emporte chez les hommes en 1:06 et Sonni Hönscheid chez les femmes en 1:09
Epic conditions for this resumption of the Alpine Lakes Tour 2020! This race, which was not planned in the program, was added to allow all those who languished after 3 months of interruption to resume competition. The wind was blowing over Geneva and transformed the long distance into a double upwind / Downwind! Ludovic Teulade wins in men in 1:06 and Sonni Hönscheid in women in 1:09
Les participants à la longue distance ont eu à faire 2 boucles alternant upwind sur 2,5 km et downwind sur la même distance. Les participants à la courte ne faisait qu’une seule boucle. Certains inscrits sur la longue ont ainsi basculé sur la courte en ne faisant qu’une seule boucle.
Long distance participants had to do 2 loops alternating upwind over 2.5 km and downwind over the same distance. Participants in the short distance did only one loop. Some registered on the long distance have thus switched to the short by making only one loop.

Registration for the next stage, the Alpine Lakes Tour Canal de Savières and Lake Bourget (initially scheduled for April 18 and 19) is open! Then we will have the Alpine Paradise Race (September 12 and 13), the French Inland Water Championships (October 10 and 11) and the Very Flat Race (November 1)!
